Last week, Paula Strunden, XR artist and researcher, visited Copenhagen together with Julie L. Parisi, innovation project manager at MUNCH, to collaborate with KHORA and ITU on the development of the XTREME MUNCH use case production. Over an intensive two-day workshop, the team began prototyping the first part of the immersive MUNCH experience, set to premiere in early October at the MUNCH museum in Oslo.

For this XTREME artistic production, the MUNCH team has commissioned a powerful duo:
🎤 Silvana Imam, acclaimed Swedish rapper
🎨 Paula Strunden, XR artist and researcher working with virtual and mixed reality technologies.

This XTREME production will combine several of the project’s cutting-edge technologies—including 4DSOUND spatial sound—with immersive XR elements, exploring how audiences can share art experiences across remote locations. The result will highlight the social, emotional, and sensory power of presence in virtual performance spaces.

💡 During the workshop, Paula worked closely with the KHORA team and Christian Sivertsen from ITU. Julie played a key role in shaping the overall production and planning process, while Justyna Starostka supported the planning process. It was an inspiring and productive few days of collaboration—and we’re excited to share more details soon!
