On April 17, the XTREME team at the IT University of Copenhagen welcomed visitors from the Inter Arts Center (IAC), Lund University, based in Malmö, Sweden.

The Inter Arts Center is part of Lund University’s Faculty of Fine and Performing Arts and serves as a hub for artistic research and interdisciplinary collaboration, with a strong focus on experimental practices, including spatial sound, digital media, and performance technologies.

The visiting group included Jonas Jönsson, Lili Nottrott, and Yann Copper. During the visit, Lili introduced the Inter Arts Center and its activities, while Jonas presented key technologies used in their lab. Yann shared insights into his ongoing artistic research, focusing on experimental approaches to spatial sound.

From the XTREME side, Sami S. Brandt presented the project and its objectives. The session included demonstrations of the 4DSOUND system made by Christian Sivertsen as well as selected prototypes developed within XTREME’s artistic productions. Justyna Starostka, Leo Vitasovic and Harshit contributed to the demonstrations and the discussion.

The visit was a first step towards potential future collaboration between XTREME and IAC. As a next step, XTREME is planning a return visit to Malmö in June to continue the exchange and further explore collaboration opportunities.
