We’re proud to share that associate professor Anders Sundnes Løvlie from IT-University represented the XTREME project at this year’s Folkemødet— Denmark’s annual democracy festival, held in Allinge on the island of Bornholm.

Known as “The People’s Meeting,” Folkemødet brings together citizens, politicians, businesses, NGOs, and researchers for three days of open debate, dialogue, and collaboration. It’s a one-of-a-kind platform where diverse voices meet to strengthen democratic values through informal exchange and shared reflection.

Anders contributed to the event by sharing insights into the design work within the XTREME project, focusing on how we use artistic and technological experimentation to shape new ways of experiencing culture — and how such practices can play a role in building inclusive, democratic futures. His presentation was part of the Center for Digital Play series of presentations – thank you we could bring XTREME into this discussion!

A big thank you also to the organizers of Folkemødet for creating space for critical dialogue around technology, design, and democracy. It’s inspiring to see these conversations happening in such a vibrant and accessible setting.
